Cellulite Diet - Foods that destroy cellulite

Which foods can help me destroy cellulite?

Cellulite does not rank high on the list of serious conditions but this does not diminish the upset caused by these areas of rutted fatty skin breaking out in the area of the abdomen, the thighs and other lower body areas. Anyone can be affected by this skin condition but for the most part women in their thirties and forties – around the period of the menopause – represent the main group of sufferers.

Some estimates say that only five percent of women are going to be totally free of cellulite and therefore the search to find a sound home cellulite treatment is being enthusiastically pursued.

From the perspective of alternative medicine the key to understanding why cellulite occurs is the presence of toxins in the body increasing to the point where natural detoxification capabilities are no longer able to cope efficiently. Diet, lack of exercise, pollution in the environment, and the onset of the menopause are some of the varied factors that can help bring about such a situation.

While a portion of these cellulite triggers are clearly beyond the individual’s control there remains a great deal that can be done to heal damaged skin and halt the spread of cellulite, and this is where a cellulite diet may come in. Changing diet is one of the primary means available for improving the body’s anti-cellulite defenses. A cellulite diet approach involves both cutting out fatty foods that have a negative impact on cellulite, and increasing the intake of those foods that can help destroy cellulite.

Cellulite Diet - Foods To Add To Your Diet

The key principal to follow in drawing up a cellulite diet is to look for those foods that are going to add the smallest amount of toxins to your body; in this way the pressures on natural detoxification processes are reduced and they come to function more effectively - thus leading directly to a reduction in cellulite.

Fresh green vegetables, fruits and their juices are high on the list of the foods in the cellulite diet that help you destroy cellulite. A wide range of vegetables are beneficial, including lettuce, asparagus, leeks, spinach, carrots and onions to give just a few examples. Ideally only fresh vegetables, as opposed to frozen vegetables, should be eaten.

Juicing those vegetables daily is also an option. This way you can add a concentrated amount of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and other phytonutrients to your diet. Adding fruit like apple to predominantly vegetable juices is the type of approach that is preferable to simply juicing fruit in this cellulite diet.

Regarding fruits to eat, bananas, grapes and pears are all good choices and watermelon are particularly beneficial in a cellulite diet as they add water to the body and this aids in detoxification.

While alcohol should be avoided as a rule, taking a glass of red wine now and again could be a good idea according to some researchers, due to its' antioxidant content. But for the most part, drinking water and pure fruit of vegetable juices is recommended. Aim to take at least six or seven glasses of water per day as a detoxifier whilst following your cellulite diet.
